TOTEME Store in Copenhagen

TOTEME Store in Copenhagen

Located in Copenhagen's historic Egmont Building, the TOTEME flagship store reflects the fashion house's restrained Scandinavian aesthetic through a carefully composed interior of stone, textile, bronze and architectural colour. Designed with a focus on proportion, materiality and permanence, the space balances monumental architecture with a calm and intimate retail experience.

Throughout the store, HA RO 17 Mercer Street by Halleroed has been applied in three different paint finishes, creating subtle variations in reflection and depth across walls, ceilings and architectural details. Rather than introducing additional colours, the project explores how finish alone can transform the perception of a single shade, responding differently to daylight, artificial lighting and the changing movement of visitors throughout the day.

Travertine display tables, bronze sculptures, bespoke lighting and furniture by Josef Frank reinforce the material palette, allowing colour to become an integrated part of the architecture rather than a decorative element.

The project demonstrates Halleroed's approach to colour as a spatial material, where a single carefully composed hue can establish continuity, atmosphere and architectural clarity across an entire interior.
