ELHANATI Boutique in Copenhagen
Founded by jewellery designer Orit Elhanati, the Copenhagen-based fine jewellery house is known for its distinctive approach to gold, combining traditional craftsmanship with raw, sculptural forms. Drawing on her Middle Eastern and Greek heritage, as well as architecture, art and ancient symbolism, Orit creates jewellery defined by organic textures, irregular surfaces and a strong sense of materiality.
At the House of Elhanati boutique and atelier in Copenhagen, this approach extends into the interior, where a carefully composed palette of colours and materials creates a setting for the jewellery.
The walls are painted in JO PA 03 Chalk by John Pawson in ULTRA MATTE, introducing a soft, warm neutral that contrasts with the darker architectural elements. A combination of FO FA 04 Walnut and FO FA 06 Worn Leather by Formafantasma is used throughout the brown-painted woodwork, including doors, frames and bespoke shelving, creating subtle variations in tone and depth.
Jewellery display cases are painted in JO PA 03 Chalk in SEMI GLOSS, adding a subtle variation in sheen. Along the lower walls, glazed tiles in MU SE 08 Vanilla by Muller Van Severen are combined with a horizontal stripe of MU SE 07 Black by Muller Van Severen, introducing a graphic detail that connects the different spaces.
The combination of matte surfaces, dark woodwork and glazed ceramics reflects the material contrasts found throughout Orit Elhanati's work, creating a restrained setting for the house's jewellery and objects.
