The palette by Gonzalez Haase AAS is rooted in the dialogue between the blue sky and its reflections on contemporary architectural materials. Inspired by surfaces such as opalescent glass, satin stainless steel, matte aluminium, and concrete, the palette explores how these materials absorb and reflect colour — a core theme in the studio’s design language. Through a close analysis of this interplay, Gonzalez Haase has developed a set of 15 colours, ranging from vibrant sky blues to muted concrete greys. Each colour references a specific material interaction — where reflection, shadow, and light meet. The process is methodical: three tones are selected for each material — a base colour, a shadow, and a highlight — forming a spectrum that responds to natural light and shifts in the sky. The result is a precise yet poetic system of colours designed to anchor space while engaging with its surroundings.
