Café Dallas, Copenhagen
Opening its second location on Victor Borges Plads in Copenhagen's Østerbro district, Café Dallas continues the atmosphere that has made its original café a local favourite. Handmade ceramic tiles by Muller Van Severen introduce colour, rhythm and warmth to an interior shaped around everyday gatherings, coffee and carefully considered details.
Following the success of its first café, recognised with five stars by the Danish newspaper Politiken, Dallas has created a new space that balances relaxed informality with a strong architectural identity. Natural plywood, exposed surfaces and carefully selected colours establish an interior that feels honest, welcoming and unmistakably contemporary.
A full-height tiled wall forms the focal point of the café, combining Curry, Dark Blue, Ivory and Rust from the Muller Van Severen collection. Warm ochres, deep blues, soft whites and earthy reds come together in a composition that feels both playful and carefully balanced. The glazed ceramic surface responds to changing daylight throughout the day, introducing subtle reflections and movement while reinforcing the handmade character of each tile.
Rather than becoming decoration, the tiled wall establishes the rhythm of the space, sitting comfortably alongside natural timber, stainless steel and exposed lighting. The result is an interior where colour is introduced with confidence while remaining closely connected to the everyday atmosphere of the café.
