ULTRA MATTE
Blēo's ULTRA MATTE is a dead matte paint with no visible sheen, developed for walls and ceilings where a calm, light-absorbing surface is required. By minimising reflection, it allows colour to appear deeper, more stable, and less affected by changing light conditions. The result is a uniform surface that supports the overall spatial composition rather than drawing attention to itself.
What is ULTRA MATTE paint
Our ULTRA MATTE is a premium paint finish with a sheen level of 1, placing it at the lowest end of the reflectivity scale. Unlike standard matte paints, it absorbs light almost entirely, reducing glare and visual disturbance across the surface. This makes it particularly suited to spaces where continuity and visual softness are essential.
When to choose ULTRA MATTE
Choose our ULTRA MATTE when you want a completely non-reflective surface, colour depth and softness are a priority, the space calls for a calm, reduced visual expression, and you are working with tonal palettes or muted colours.
Finish and performance
Despite its dead matte appearance, the formulation is developed to offer durability and gentle cleanability. The surface resists marking better than traditional flat paints while maintaining its non-reflective character. This balance allows ULTRA MATTE to be used beyond purely decorative spaces, without compromising its visual qualities.
Colour and light
ULTRA MATTE absorbs light rather than reflecting it. This changes how colour is perceived: tones appear deeper, less contrasted, and more stable across different lighting conditions. In natural light, colours remain calm and grounded. In artificial light, the absence of reflection reduces glare and creates a more even surface. This makes ULTRA MATTE particularly effective when working with subtle tonal variations or layered colour compositions.
