Collection 01 by aarticles exhibited at Blēo's Copenhagen showroom.

aarticles, Collection 01 at Blēo

Founded by Kasia Sznajder and Fred Aartun, aarticles is a new gallery and curatorial platform exploring the intersection of design, craft and contemporary objects. Collection 01 marked its public debut, bringing together works by emerging and established makers in an exhibition shaped by careful composition, quiet gestures and a shared appreciation for process.

Presented within Blēo's Copenhagen showroom, the exhibition unfolded through a restrained palette of wood, metal, clay, wool and glass. Hand-forged objects by Agnieszka Owisiany, ceramic vessels by Shane Gabier, metal works by Yeodong Yun, wine compositions by Anna Fiedler, alongside works by Christian + Jade, Louie Isaaman-Jones, J. Hannah, Terpsichore Savvala and the founders themselves, created a series of conversations between different disciplines and approaches to making.

The visual identity of Collection 01 was inspired by museum displays, where coloured textile backdrops framed individual objects and introduced depth through subtle tonal variation. For the exhibition at Blēo, this language was translated into the showroom using carefully selected colours from the Greigst collection together with a warm neutral from Andrew Trotter's palette. Rather than acting as a backdrop, the colours became part of the overall composition, supporting the objects while allowing natural light and architecture to shape the experience.

The exhibition reflected a shared interest in thoughtful design, careful craftsmanship and the relationship between colour, objects and space. Collection 01 demonstrated how a restrained palette can bring together diverse practices while allowing every piece to retain its own character.
