Launching Tiles by Muller Van Severen
During 3daysofdesign 2025, Blēo introduced its first tile collection, marking the beginning of a broader vision that brings together paint and tiles within one carefully considered architectural palette.
Developed in collaboration with Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen, the collection translates the studio's long-established approach to colour into a series of handmade tiles. Working with the same recognisable family of colours that has defined their furniture and objects for more than a decade, the collection extends their visual language into architecture, where colour becomes part of the surface rather than an applied detail.
The launch took place at Blēo's Copenhagen showroom on Borgergade 20, where architects, designers and visitors experienced the collection through a series of large-scale wall compositions. Rather than presenting individual samples, the installation demonstrated how the tiles work together across architectural surfaces, revealing subtle changes in glaze, reflection and colour throughout the day.
Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen joined the event in person, sharing the ideas behind the collaboration and their approach to working with a carefully refined palette across furniture, objects and now tiles.
The collection represents the first chapter in Blēo's growing tile programme, developed in collaboration with leading architects, designers and artists. Together with paint, the collections offer a cohesive approach to colour across different surfaces, allowing interiors to be composed through a shared architectural language rather than individual materials.
