Pierre Marcolini at Selfridges, London

At Selfridges on Oxford Street, Tiles by Conie Vallese in CO VA 08 Arcilla form the curved counter of Pierre Marcolini’s London space.

Founded in Brussels in 1995, Pierre Marcolini is one of Belgium’s best-known contemporary chocolatiers, recognised for a bean-to-bar approach that follows the process from sourcing cocoa beans through to the finished chocolate.

The setting is Selfridges, one of London’s most iconic department stores and a destination for fashion, design, food and culture since opening on Oxford Street in 1909.

The deep brown Arcilla glaze is inspired by clay deposits and traditional building materials. Across the curved counter, its glossy surface and natural tonal variations create depth and reflection, forming a rich backdrop to Marcolini’s chocolates and graphic packaging.
