The Method Trocadéro, Paris
At The Method Trocadéro in Paris, Blēo's glass tiles by Sabine Marcelis are used throughout the shower and wellness areas, introducing colour, reflection and material depth into spaces designed for movement and recovery. The project explores how glass, light and water interact to create calm architectural surfaces that quietly evolve throughout the day.
Designed by Lars Seiler, The Method Trocadéro reimagines the contemporary wellness studio through a restrained palette of materials, soft light and carefully considered detailing. Rather than becoming decorative elements, the tiled surfaces contribute to the atmosphere of the space, creating moments of reflection and tactility within a highly functional environment.
The project combines SA MA 05 Bubblegum and SA MA 01 Salt in both Glossy and Frosted Matte finishes. The interplay between the two surfaces allows colour to shift subtly as light moves across the glass, creating varying degrees of reflection, softness and depth. Throughout the wellness spaces, the material responds naturally to water, daylight and movement, reinforcing the sensory qualities of the architecture.
Rather than defining the interior through contrast, the tiles become part of a continuous material language where colour, glass and light work together. The result is a space that feels calm, immersive and carefully composed, demonstrating how architectural surfaces can shape atmosphere through material rather than ornament.
