The world's smallest flagshipstore

The world's smallest flagshipstore an intimate yet boundary-pushing design space in Copenhagen. The space redefines the traditional furniture store and design gallery by showcasing progressive Danish and international design with a singular focus: the innovative use of scalable waste. In this curated environment, every piece tells a story of transformation — waste materials are reimagined and elevated into functional, beautiful, and meaningful design objects.

The 40 m2 serves as both the home and flagshipstore of the Danish brand, ‘a seat in Siena’, while also welcoming other Danish and international designers and brands. Each month, a new brand is invited to engage in dialogue with the existing ‘a seat in Siena collection’, creating inspiring encounters that keep the space dynamic and continually interesting to visit.

‘a seat in Siena’ embodies conscious consumption and the essence of Danish design by transforming leftover wood into purposeful furniture. Each piece is crafted locally using residual materials from other quality design projects. The customizable design allows the furniture to adapt and evolve with its owner, making it an ideal heirloom — built to last a lifetime.

Colours used: In the rear room, the back wall is painted in BA OS 08 Cadmium by Barber Osgerby serves as a bold visual anchor. Its saturated yellow hue adds a sculptural quality, drawing the eye and highlighting objects placed against it. Contrasting this, the surrounding walls in ST SC 02 Arita by Studio Stefan Scholten offer a muted sophistication, allowing furniture pieces to take center stage without distraction. Above, the ceiling and upper walls feature ST SC 01 Brut in high gloss, subtly reflecting light and movement to enhance the room's sense of height and openness. Panels and doors painted in DA RY 02 Studio by Daniel Rybakken introduce a gentle rhythm and depth, complementing the neutral palette and enriching transitions between spaces.
