A Home in Vanløse, Denmark
In Vanløse, just outside Copenhagen, writer, editor and creative director Ditlev Ferjerskov lives with his wife and son in a home shaped by an extensive collection of art, books and objects.
Throughout the house, colours from Blēo's collections by John Pawson, Sabine Marcelis, Cecilie Manz, Yvonne Koné, Muller Van Severen and Griegst are combined across walls, ceilings and architectural details. Subtle shifts in tone connect the different rooms, while deeper, more saturated colours introduce contrast. Applied to selected ceilings, Blēo's Ultra Matte finish gives these stronger colours a soft, understated appearance, allowing them to add depth without overwhelming the surrounding spaces.
In the living room, Muller Van Severen's MU SE 02 Curry tiles frame an existing architectural panel, transforming a functional element into a distinct feature rather than concealing it. Elsewhere, colour is used to define individual spaces and provide a backdrop for the family's collection of paintings, furniture and objects.
The result is a personal interior in which colours from different collections coexist naturally, bringing together contemporary design, art and the original character of the house.
