Introducing Blēo: Beyond the boundaries of paint
Blēo launched in Copenhagen in April 2024 with an approach to colour built around collaboration. The collection brings together distinctive colour palettes developed with leading international artists, architects and designers, each reflecting the work, references and individual perspective of its creator.
Rather than approaching colour as a fixed selection of paint shades, Blēo looks at how colour is experienced through architecture, interiors, objects and everyday surroundings. Each collaboration introduces a different perspective, creating a growing colour library shaped by individual practices, places and ways of working.
The collections draw on references across art, architecture, design, history and research. Colours are developed in Copenhagen and available across a range of paint finishes for walls, ceilings, woodwork, kitchens, bathrooms, floors and exterior surfaces.
Since its launch, Blēo has expanded beyond paint with collections of ceramic, glass and natural stone tiles, continuing the same collaborative approach across colour and surface.
