Our hand painted samples (210mm x 100mm) are made in our MATTE finish (except our 'Effect' colours that come in GLOSS samples), and they are hand painted to achieve the most truthful result. Use it as a tool — hang it on the wall to see how the hue interacts with others colours and materials, observe how it changes with the daylight, or use it as part of a moodboard.
Our 80 ML paint sample is made in our MATTE finish. Paint a square or a circle on the wall to see how the hue interacts with others colours and materials, and observe how the colour changes with the daylight.
If you have a specific request for another finish or variant, you can write to us at bleo@bleocollective.com
NINE PAINT FINISHES
Seven of our finishes work on walls and ceilings, furniture and detailing, wood, concrete, plaster, and metal, to name a few, and we have a finish for floors and a finish for humid rooms.
SOFT MATTE,SEMI GLOSS, GLOSS and HIGH GLOSS are for windows; frames and doors, and work beautifully on single objects and pieces, but also feel extra bold and vivid on walls and ceilings. Choose ULTRA MATTE and MATTE for walls and ceilings — as well as the interior at large to create sensuous cohesion throughout the space. FLOOR is a durable and resistant paint for floors, and our WET ROOM is paint for bathrooms and toilets.
ULTRA MATTE (sheen 1-2) A dead matte finish with excellent coverage and low-odour. A durable and easily cleanable finish. ULTRA MATTE is suitable for residential use in most spaces – living rooms, kitchens, and offices – where an ultra matte appearance is required.
MATTE (sheen 5-6) A matte finish with excellent coverage and low-odour. A highly durable and easily cleanable finish. MATTE is suitable for high-traffic residential and commercial spaces where a smooth, matte and burnish resistant surface is required.
SOFT MATTE (sheen 10) For wood and metal. A matte paint with very low gloss level resulting in a non-reflective finish with nearly no shine, but slightly more depth than ULTRA MATTE and MATTE. A primary advantage of SOFT MATTE is the paints ability to conceal flaws while leaving a soft, velvet-like finish. A great match if you are into either colour drenching (same shade on walls and wooden details) or monochromatic colour scheme.
SEMI GLOSS (sheen 30) For wood and metal. A smooth finish with a subtle sheen, that results in a low lustre finish that not only can optimize a paint's colour, but also increases its durability and suitability for use in any room of the house or space, and on a variety of surface conditions. Sheen 30 is the average, traditional gloss level for wood and metal details.
GLOSS (sheen 50) A hard-wearing paint for interior use. Superb for woodwork and primed metal, where an extra tough surface is required. It’s glossy and works best for surfaces including panels, radiators and stairs, but can be used for walls and ceilings as well.
HIGH GLOSS (sheen 80) A hard-wearing paint for interior use. Superb for woodwork and primed metal, where an extra tough surface is required. It’s super glossy and works best for architectural details or surfaces including panels, radiators and stairs, but can be used for walls and ceilings as well. High gloss is the perfect finish to highlight interior features in wood or metal.
FLOOR (sheen 30) For indoors wood and concrete floors. A durable and resistant floor paint. FLOOR can be used for indoors floor with high wear, such as housing, offices and other areas where you want extra durability and an easy maintenance.
WET ROOM (sheen 30) For humid rooms as bathrooms and toilets, for industrial kitchens, factories and the pharmaceutical industry. WET ROOM is suitable for concrete, gypsum board, plaster, etc. WET ROOM gives a strong and resistant surface and contains materials, that protect against surface mold.
MINERALS (sheen 0-1) MINERALS is a breathable, mineral-based paint designed for dry interior spaces where surface expression matters. Ideal for use on concrete, plaster, and gypsum board, it offers a matte, powdery finish with subtle texture and depth. Durable yet understated, MINERALS is well-suited for walls in living rooms, bedrooms, corridors, offices, and other areas where calm, architectural colour is desired. Its mineral composition brings a raw, refined character to any space — quietly highlighting materiality, light, and proportion.
Primer might look like regular white paint, but it’s thicker and contains more pigment. Think of it as a base coat, providing a foundation that ensures a flawless finish. We have gathered the most imporant primers right here: Primers
In general, it's usually not necessary to use primer when you are painting with our ULTRA MATTE or MATTE finishes. Our paint is of so good quality that you simply don't need a primer. If you are in doubt, please email us: bleo@bleocollective.com and we will get back to you right away.
Primer isn’t always required, but you may need it when:
Your surfaces are porous and textured. Without being primed properly, too much paint will be absorbed, and you’ll need more than two layers to get a desired result.
You are about to make a radical change in colour. Whether you want to go from dark to light walls, or the other way around.
Your surface is matte, and you want to go glossy, or the other way around.
You made several repairs using filler and sandpaper, and your surfaces are now “spotted” and imperfect. You need to cover up stains and colour variations before applying paint.
Your walls are new and have not yet been painted. They could be drywall, skim coated drywall or plastered walls. A base layer of primer will help you save paint in the end.
Primer costs less than regular paint, so it’s generally a good idea to saturate and prep surfaces with primer before finishing with paint.
Minimise paint waste by estimating how much paint you will need before starting a project.
1 L of our paint covers approximately:
— 9 m2, when painted in one layer — 4,5 m2, when painted in two layers — 3 m2, when painted in three layers
We recommend to use primer beneath your paint, when necessary. Otherwise, two layers of paint are enough for the main part of our colours, unless otherwise stated above, in our product description.
Still in doubt? Write us at bleo@bleocollective.com and let us help you with your calculations.
Leftover paint?Keep it for another day. It’s possible to use leftover paint for up to two years after purchase, if stored correctly. The product should be stored at room temperature in a dry environment, and kept out of reach of children.
There can be colour differences between one finish to another if the base is changing (eg. from MATTE to HIGH GLOSS or MINERALS), so we always recommend that you test both the colour and the finish you want before you start on your paint project.
