Dinesen Apartment by David Thulstrup in Brooklyn, New York

Designed by David Thulstrup, the Dinesen Apartment in Brooklyn brings together Danish architecture, craftsmanship and materiality within a residential setting that feels both refined and lived in. Conceived as an immersive interior rather than a traditional showroom, the apartment explores how timber, colour and carefully selected furniture create a calm and enduring architectural atmosphere.

Dinesen Layers Oak defines the interior, extending across floors, wall cladding, the staircase and bespoke joinery, while Layers HeartOak introduces additional depth and texture. Throughout the apartment, Thulstrup's own furniture designs sit alongside pieces by John Pawson, vintage Danish classics and contemporary works, creating an interior shaped by craftsmanship and timeless design.

Blēo colours form an integral part of the architectural composition. Walls are painted in DA TH 01 Suede, DA TH 07 Sand and DA TH 08 Titian, three colours developed by David Thulstrup for Blēo. Applied throughout the apartment, the palette responds gently to natural light while complementing the warmth, grain and tactile qualities of Dinesen's oak surfaces.

Together, colour and timber establish a restrained yet richly layered interior where architecture, furniture and material exist in quiet balance.
