Berner Kühl Flagship Store, Copenhagen

For the brand's flagship store in Copenhagen, a restrained interior palette is built around variations in surface and finish. JO PA 03 Chalk by John Pawson for Blēo is used in MATTE, and a shelving element painted in HA RO 02 Chinese Lacquer by Halleroed for Blēo introduces a deep red accent in HIGH GLOSS. Against the neutral Chalk, the lacquered surface creates a precise contrast in both colour and sheen.
The combination demonstrates how paint finish can be used alongside colour as an architectural element, moving between matte and reflective surfaces within a retail interior.
