Information on Blēo's tiles, their materials, production, craftsmanship and performance
What defines Blēo's approach to tiles?
Blēo’s tile collections bring together contemporary design, material knowledge and craftsmanship. We work with designers and specialist workshops across different regions, exploring the possibilities of clay, ceramic, terracotta and natural stone through colour, form and surface. Our approach is guided by an appreciation for versatility, quality and the knowledge developed through years of working with these materials. Each collection reflects the particular characteristics of its material, the designer’s perspective and the expertise of the workshop producing it. Together, the collections offer a broad range of colours, formats and finishes for different architectural settings.

Blēo’s tiles are produced in collaboration with specialist workshops in Italy, Spain and Morocco. Each workshop brings its own expertise, materials and production traditions, from hand-cut Moroccan zellige to glazed ceramics and hand-formed Italian terracotta. We select our production partners for their knowledge of the material, technical experience and commitment to quality. We prioritise locally sourced clay and established regional production methods. We are continuously exploring new materials and manufacturing techniques, including potential collaborations with workshops in Japan, Portugal and France.
