Saturated Palette by Sabine Marcelis

Saturated Palette assembles colours that have been recurring in Sabine Marcelis’ practice since she started her studio a decade ago. To her, the palette is timeless—she keeps editing and working with the colours, coming up with new and surprising combinations. The addition of a lighter shade palette widens the possibilities for application, enabling ton-sur-ton scenarios and subdued interiors.

Sabine Marcelis is an artist and designer based in the harbor of Rotterdam, the Netherlands. A graduate from the Design Academy of Eindhoven, Marcelis is known for her distinctive perspective on materiality. Hers are pure forms that highlight material qualities, often made in close collaboration with industrial manufacturers. This method enables her to intervene in the manufacturing process, thereby achieving new and surprising visual effects for projects showcased in leading institutions and commissioned by commercial clients. Sabine’s designs are true sensorial experiences, where experience becomes function, with a refined and singular aesthetic.
