A Staircase and Entrance in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen
In the Frederiksberg home of skateboarder Rune Glifberg and model and creative consultant Henni Gohr, colour defines the transition between spaces.
The entrance hallway is painted in JO PA 04 Cotton by John Pawson, providing a soft, neutral backdrop to the home's architectural details and warm wooden floors. A contrasting palette of two pink shades introduces a distinct character to the adjoining staircase.
CE BA 05 Ulanda Pink by Cecilie Bahnsen covers the staircase walls, while SA MA 05 Bubblegum by Sabine Marcelis is used on the steps. Together, the two shades create subtle variations in tone and depth, with natural light bringing out their individual qualities.
The result is a continuous composition of colour, where the staircase becomes an integral part of the home's architecture.
