Phoebe Restaurant in Copenhagen

Phoebe is a French restaurant in Copenhagen, where references to the classic Parisian restaurant meet the energy of the city. The interior and its colour palette take their starting point in this combination, with warm neutrals, deep red-brown and traditional materials used throughout the space.

The main walls are painted in FO FA 11 Powdery by Formafantasma, a warm neutral with a yellow undertone. It is used throughout the restaurant alongside white tablecloths, dark wood, marble and the existing furniture.

FO FA 07 Oxblood by Formafantasma is used on doors, frames, woodwork and other architectural details. The colour is applied in HIGH GLOSS, in contrast to the matte finish of the larger wall surfaces. The difference in finish is particularly visible around the doors and openings, where the darker colour reflects the light.

The same red-brown and cream palette continues in the entrance, where CO VA 07 Tronco and CO VA 18 Arena tiles by Conie Vallese are laid in a chequerboard pattern. The handmade tiles have slight variations in surface and colour and reference the painted Oxblood and Powdery surfaces used throughout the restaurant.

The result is a relatively simple palette repeated across paint, tiles and different finishes throughout Phoebe.
