Joachimstraße by David Chipperfield

A tribute to the German legacy of David Chipperfield Architects, particularly within the walls of Joachimstraße 11 in Berlin. This collection, characterized by various tones of grey and dark green, symbolizes the firm's commitment to its German operations and the architectural heritage cultivated at its Berlin office since 1998. The color palette, described as a fierce dark green, mirrors the power and subtlety inherent in the architectural designs. This collection stands as a testament to the enduring dedication of David Chipperfield Architects to excellence in German architecture.

David Chipperfield Architects Berlin was established in 1998, and over the past 26 years, the Berlin office has continuously grown. Since 2004, David Chipperfield Architects Berlin has had their own office building, a former piano factory in Joachimstraße 11 in Mitte in Berlin. To form an office campus, the historic brick building from 1895 was expanded by four new buildings in 2013, establishing a creative work environment that encourages innovative ideas and engagement in the practice’s discourse on building culture. The Joachimstraße Collection is a tribute to the German part of David Chipperfield Architects.
