Introducing MINERALS
MINERALS is the result of ongoing material research and creative exploration, a series of mineral-based paints that bring depth, tactility, and quiet movement to architectural surfaces. Each colour is developed to embody Blēo’s core principles: highly pigmented formulations, considered palettes, and collaborations with leading creative voices. The collection translates the sensory richness of natural minerals into paint, merging historic craft with a contemporary sensibility. The result is a surface that feels alive: matte, tonal, and organically textured, with a depth that shifts subtly with light.
The first edition, MINERALS by John Pawson, features thirteen whites and light tones developed in close collaboration with the British architect — a calm and precise study in light, texture, and material presence.
The idea behind MINERALS is simple and deliberate: to translate a selection of Blēo’s richly pigmented colours from our conventional paint into a mineral-based formulation with depth, tactility, and a subtle, natural texture. Developed to create a harmonious, seamless atmosphere, MINERALS can be used on walls and ceilings alongside Blēo’s conventional paint for wood or metal — allowing a consistent colour expression across every surface. The result is a fluid, unified environment where tone and texture act as one. Each shade in the MINERALS collection is designed to enhance atmosphere, light, and spatial depth. Whether used to refresh, reframe, or define a new ambiance, it brings a lasting sense of balance and quiet vibrancy to any space.
MINERALS is more than paint — it’s a material experience for the interior. When brushed onto dry walls or ceilings, its dense coverage and subtle texture unfold into a deeply matte surface that feels rich and calm from every angle. Inviting creative expression across commercial projects, homes, and workplaces alike, MINERALS offers freedom in application and interpretation. Its generous, mineral-based consistency allows for an almost endless variety of surface expressions. Applied with a brush or roller, each technique creates a distinct result — from smooth, seamless finishes to richly tactile, hand-worked textures.
For a cohesive and continuous expression, MINERALS is best applied with a roller, achieving an even, tonal surface without visible strokes. Short or long strokes, layered or directional movements, can be used with a brush to enhance depth and variation. Highly pigmented and mineral-based, MINERALS turns colour into atmosphere — vibrant yet restrained — as light moves gently across its surface. In every application, it becomes a personal interpretation of tone and texture, bringing warmth, tactility, and a quiet sense of presence to any space.
