Our first MINERALS collaboration is developed with John Pawson, who has created thirteen whites and light tones drawn from his Whitescale palette for Blēo. Formulated as natural, breathable mineral-based paints, these colours bring a matte, tactile expression to architectural surfaces, settling into a soft texture across dry walls and ceilings. Each tone reflects Pawson’s ongoing exploration of reduction, material clarity and atmosphere, some cooler, others warmer, forming a restrained spectrum shaped by subtle shifts of light.
For more than forty years, Pawson has approached architecture through simplicity, guided by the belief that clarity and restraint sharpen perception. Developed through testing and dialogue, the MINERALS collection reflects this approach, focusing on nuance rather than contrast. The result is a set of mineral tones that feel measured and precise.
Pawson’s traditional Whitescale palette works seamlessly with the MINERALS collection, allowing textured walls to sit naturally alongside painted window frames, ceilings, timber, metal, architectural details or cabinetry in corresponding tones. MINERALS is designed to support a unified expression throughout a space, using mineral texture on walls and our conventional paint on other surfaces to create a coherent and balanced interior.
