The Colour Club at Blēo: A One-Day Bookshop

For one day only, Blēo will host The Colour Club®, a London-based platform dedicated to exploring colour across art, design, science, history and culture.

Founded by artist and colour consultant Zeynep Sagir, The Colour Club brings together a global community through editorial content, interviews, workshops and physical experiences. Its work invites colour enthusiasts, creatives and industry professionals to look beyond the surface of colour and consider the histories, ideas and sensory experiences held within it.

At Blēo, The Colour Club will present a carefully curated collection of books devoted entirely to colour. Rare and hard-to-find editions will be shown alongside significant new releases, spanning art, architecture, design, photography, pigments and colour theory.

The books will be arranged for discovery, inviting visitors to browse, read and spend time with the collection throughout the day.

The Colour Club’s wider editorial platform features conversations with colour historians, artists, painters, pigment specialists, psychologists and neurologists. Together, these perspectives explore the scientific, historical and sensory dimensions of colour, examining its influence on art and culture as well as human emotion and perception.

With contributions from writers and specialists across the world, The Colour Club offers a meeting place for creatives, industry professionals and anyone interested in developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of colour.

Last year, The Colour Club was presented at Copenhagen Contemporary, where the accompanying images were taken. This October, the collection returns to Copenhagen for a one-day presentation at Blēo.
