Yvonne Koné

Yvonne Koné is a Danish designer based in Copenhagen, working across fashion, textiles, colour and interiors. Her practice is defined by restraint, material sensitivity and an intuitive understanding of colour, creating work that feels calm, enduring and deeply connected to everyday life.

About

Originally trained in fashion, Yvonne Koné established her namesake leather goods brand in 2011, developing a distinctive design language built around refined materials, timeless proportions and exceptional craftsmanship. Over the years, her practice has expanded beyond accessories to encompass clothing, textiles, colour and interiors, while maintaining the same thoughtful and understated approach.

In 2025, she introduced Lafine, a clothing brand centred on carefully constructed garments made from Italian deadstock fabrics. Like her earlier work, Lafine reflects her belief in longevity, material honesty and quiet elegance, creating pieces designed to be lived with rather than consumed by changing trends.

Across every discipline, colour plays a central role. Rather than seeking bold contrasts, Koné is drawn to soft, muted tones that respond gently to changing light and surrounding materials. Her palettes are guided by intuition as much as observation, exploring how colour can create a sense of comfort, balance and belonging within a space.

For Blēo, Yvonne Koné has developed both a paint collection and a handmade terracotta tile collection. Together, they extend her quiet and highly recognisable approach to colour into architectural surfaces, creating interiors that feel warm, calm and designed to endure.

Safe Place by Yvonne Koné

A warm welcome of colours that produces a sense of calm and expanse. Each of Yvonne Koné’s 23 colours are the product of intuition, mixed in her living room. The intent of Safe Place is to create a colour palette that receives you, embracing you with warmth when entering a space. The colours should make you feel at ease.
