Yvonne Koné

Yvonne Koné

Yvonne Koné is a Copenhagen-based Danish designer working across fashion, textiles, colour, and interiors. Trained in fashion, she founded her leather goods brand in 2011, building a practice defined by material integrity, precision, and a clear architectural sensibility. Her work is guided by proportion, contrast, and a disciplined approach to reduction. Whether working with leather, textiles, clothing, or spatial contexts, she treats design as a study in structure and balance, where each element has a clear purpose.

In 2025, she launched Lafine, extending her practice into clothing made from Italian surplus fabrics, while continuing to develop projects within colour and interiors. Across disciplines, material and colour remain central. Her approach to colour is instinctive but measured, attentive to light, surface, and space, and rooted in a careful consideration of context.

In her Colour Conversation with Blēo, Yvonne Koné reflects on her approach to colour. The series brings together designers, architects, and artists to discuss how colour can function as a material in shaping thoughtful and lasting environments. Read it here.

Safe Place by Yvonne Koné

A warm welcome of colours that produces a sense of calm and expanse. Each of Yvonne Koné’s 23 colours are the product of intuition, mixed in her living room. The intent of Safe Place is to create a colour palette that receives you, embracing you with warmth when entering a space. The colours should make you feel at ease.
