Note (Design Studio)

Founded in Stockholm in 2008, Note Design Studio is an internationally recognised multidisciplinary practice working across architecture, interiors, furniture, graphic design and creative direction. Their work is driven by curiosity, collaboration and a belief that thoughtful design should engage both the senses and emotions.

About

Since its founding in Stockholm in 2008, Note Design Studio has established an international practice spanning architecture, interiors, furniture, product design, graphic design and creative direction. Working across disciplines allows the studio to approach every project holistically, developing spaces and objects where architecture, colour, materials and identity become part of one coherent experience.

Collaboration sits at the heart of the studio's practice. Every project is shaped through close dialogue with clients, craftspeople and manufacturers, allowing each solution to respond specifically to its context rather than following a predetermined style. This open and exploratory process has resulted in projects characterised by warmth, material richness and carefully composed atmospheres.

Colour plays a defining role throughout Note's work. Rather than functioning as decoration, colour is used to influence mood, perception and spatial experience, often in combination with natural materials, tactile surfaces and changing daylight. Across architecture, interiors and furniture, the studio seeks to create environments that feel both emotionally engaging and timeless.

For Blēo, Note Design Studio has developed a curated colour palette that reflects this approach. Inspired by materiality, atmosphere and the emotional qualities of colour, the collection is designed to create interiors that feel inviting, balanced and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.

Statements by Note (Design Studio)

There are expectations on how colours should be used, but Note (Design Studio) believe colours should reflect our personalities. They emite vibrations of our emotional states. Whether vibrant or muted. Comfortable or uncomfortable. Yet colours should always represent us. It's not a trend. It's a statement.
