What is the EU Ecolabel?

The EU Ecolabel is the European Union's official environmental certification for products that meet defined criteria for environmental performance and quality. For paints and varnishes, the criteria include restrictions on certain hazardous substances, limits on volatile organic compounds and requirements relating to product performance and durability. Blēo works with European manufacturing partners producing paint to EU Ecolabel standards. Certification applies to specific products rather than automatically to every finish within a brand.
