Holiday Home in Vejby Strand, Denmark

Set close to the coast in Vejby Strand, North Zealand, this holiday home is defined by a restrained palette of timber, natural surfaces and soft colour.

The existing wooden ceiling remains a prominent element throughout the interior, bringing warmth and texture to the open living spaces. Pale painted walls sit alongside exposed timber frames, wooden floors and darker joinery, creating subtle contrasts between the different surfaces while maintaining a light and cohesive atmosphere.

Two colours from Blēo are used throughout the house. JO PA 09 Limestone by John Pawson introduces a warm, mineral off-white that responds naturally to the timber and changing daylight. CE MA 04 Shadow by Cecilie Manz adds a slightly deeper, nuanced tone, creating variation between rooms without disrupting the overall continuity of the interior.

Together, the colours form a neutral architectural backdrop to the house, allowing the original timber, furniture, art and surrounding landscape to remain central.
