About

Based in Puglia, Italy, Studio Andrew Trotter works across architecture, interiors, furniture and product design, creating projects that are deeply rooted in place. Guided by a philosophy of simplicity and permanence, the studio believes that every building should feel as though it belongs naturally to its surroundings, responding to landscape, climate and local traditions rather than imposing itself upon them.

This approach has become synonymous with some of the Mediterranean's most celebrated contemporary architectural projects, including Masseria Moroseta and Villa Cardo, both recognised for their restrained use of natural materials, soft light and carefully balanced proportions. Rather than seeking visual statements, the studio creates spaces defined by atmosphere, where architecture quietly frames everyday life.

Across private homes, boutique hotels, hospitality projects and furniture, Andrew Trotter consistently works with a palette of limestone, timber, plaster and muted earth tones. Colour is never treated as decoration, but as an extension of architecture itself, responding to changing daylight and enhancing the tactile qualities of natural surfaces.

For Blēo, Andrew Trotter has composed a curated colour palette inspired by the Mediterranean landscape, drawing from limewashed walls, sun-bleached stone, olive groves and the shifting light of southern Italy. The collection reflects his belief that colour should feel timeless, natural and inseparable from the architecture it inhabits.
