About

Founded by Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu in 2004, Neri&Hu Design and Research Office has established itself as one of the world's leading multidisciplinary design practices. Based in Shanghai and working internationally, the studio develops architecture, interiors, furniture, masterplans and product design through an approach that combines cultural research with contemporary architectural thinking.

Rather than separating architecture, interiors and objects into distinct disciplines, Neri&Hu approaches every project as part of one continuous design language. Context, memory, craftsmanship and material are considered together, allowing each project to respond to its surroundings while remaining deeply connected to contemporary life. This interdisciplinary philosophy has become a defining characteristic of the studio's work.

Alongside their architectural practice, Lyndon Neri and Rossana Hu have played an influential role in architectural education. Both lecture internationally and have held academic positions at institutions including Harvard Graduate School of Design, Yale School of Architecture, Princeton University, University of California, Berkeley, Tongji University and the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design. Together they also founded Design Republic, a Shanghai-based platform dedicated to design, exhibitions and cultural exchange.

For Blēo, Neri&Hu translates this architectural philosophy into colour, developing a palette informed by natural materials, changing light and cultural memory. The collection reflects the studio's belief that colour is not decorative, but an integral part of architecture, shaping atmosphere, perception and the experience of space.
