Light, easy-going and welcoming neutral with a warm undertone. A chalky neutral tone transformative quality, changing depending on the light you see it in. Yvonne Koné tested it for years, and it is still her preferred hue for any space. Flatters most other colours.

    Safe Place by Yvonne Koné

A collection of colours made to give a welcoming sensation of calmness, warmth, and space. Each of the Danish designer’s 23 colours are mixed with intuition in her private living room, and Koné’s aim with Safe Place has been to make a colour palette where you are surrounded by warmth when entering a room, even when a colour is close to being neutral. The colours should give you a feeling of being safe.

Recognised for her architectural approach to form and craftsmanship, Yvonne Koné is one of Denmark’s leading designers. Known internationally for her luxury namesake brand of leather goods and accessories (established in 2011), she is also the founder of the premium fashion brand Lafine. Alongside Lafine, Yvonne Koné’s creative practice extends across direction, colour, and interiors. Guided by an intuitive understanding of the world in all its imperfection, change, and contradiction, her work is driven by a desire to create sensory experiences that insist on their presence through subtle, considered forms.
