A soft, dusty black based on charcoal. Matte and slightly warm, this glaze rests gently on the surface of Italian clay, revealing a more muted and tactile expression. Recalling burned wood, tools and aged surfaces, it introduces a softer interpretation of black, one that feels worn in, quiet and understated.
Single tiles are available in 10×10 cm, with additional formats on view in our Copenhagen showroom. Orders are priced per m² and produced in Italy, with lead times of 2–8 weeks. Bespoke solutions are available on request at an additional cost of approximately 10%.

    Tiles by Formafantasma

Tiles by Formafantasma translate the colours of the La Bottega Italiana paint palette into a collection of eight ceramic tiles. Browns define the collection, ranging from dry clay and toasted wood to darker shades recalling walnut, coffee and lacquered timber. A limited number of accent colours extend the palette without disrupting its overall balance. Conceived as an architectural colour system, the tiles are intended to be combined across walls, floors and surfaces rather than used as individual statements.

Founded in 2009 by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin, Formafantasma is an Italian design studio working between Milan and Rotterdam. Known for its research-driven approach, the studio explores the relationship between materials, industry and the built environment through furniture, products and exhibitions. For Blēo, Formafantasma has developed both paint and tile collections, translating its interest in colour, material and architectural surfaces into palettes and ceramic tiles designed for contemporary interiors.
