A white that hovers between yellow and pink — and it’s this ambiguity that makes it so intriguing. It evokes the feeling of a mild summer day, full of possibility. Light, airy, and quietly refreshing — almost thirst-quenching in its clarity.
The tiles are crafted by hand using traditional Moroccan techniques. Subtle variations in tone, texture, and reflection are inherent to their character. We recommend ordering 5–10% extra to allow for sorting, cuts, and the small number of tiles that may arrive chipped or broken — a standard aspect of artisanal tilework.
Single tiles can be purchased directly on our website, while full square metres are available on request. Each 10×10 cm sample represents one tone within the colour spectrum, while the images shown illustrate the natural variation and rhythm of the shade. Orders can be collected from our Copenhagen studio or shipped worldwide. Delivery times vary by quantity, colour, and location — please contact us for details.

    Tiles by Muller Van Severen

A collaboration between Blēo and Belgian design duo Muller Van Severen, this tile collection brings together traditional Moroccan zellige craftsmanship with a bold, contemporary colour sensibility. Each of the 12 tiles is handmade in Fez using centuries-old techniques — hand-cut, glazed, and intentionally irregular. The high-gloss finish and subtle variations in tone bring depth and movement to the surface, while the colours, developed by Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen, reflect their intuitive, sculptural approach to design. Rich in texture and precise in tone, the collection invites creative application — from quiet accents to bold compositions.

Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen’s work — better known as Muller Van Severen — were both started as artists, their work naturally positioned somewhere between design and art. The duo creates sculpturally interesting ‘furniture objects’ with the space around it in mind, inspired by their shared passion for art, architecture and materials. Simultaneously, their designs appear to be created almost intuitively, with total effortlessness, as if the designers were drawing with crayons in space. Found in homes as well as large-scale institutions, Muller Van Severen's own production pieces are handmade by small-scale fabricators and skilled artisans, with an honesty to the rawness and irregularity of the chosen material.
