RYE: At the Threshold of Rest during 3daysofdesign 2026
Presented during 3daysofdesign, At the Threshold of Rest was a site-specific installation by RYE, set within a working parking garage in central Copenhagen. Founded in Copenhagen, RYE creates handmade beds, mattresses and bedding with a focus on natural materials, craftsmanship and longevity. For At the Threshold of Rest, the brand transformed the industrial setting into a temporary exhibition centred around sleep, bringing together furniture, artworks, objects and found pieces across a series of interconnected rooms.
Blēo colours were used throughout the installation on walls and ceilings in both MATTE and MINERALS finishes. The palette included Essential 25 Pale Air, FO FA 14 Warm White by Formafantasma, BU ST 08 Yard Wheat by Bunn Studio, NO AR 01 Fading Forest Green by Norm Architects and JO PA 11 Cashmere by John Pawson. Essential 25 Pale Air, FO FA 14 Warm White, BU ST 08 Yard Wheat and NO AR 01 Fading Forest Green were applied in ULTRA MATTE, while JO PA 11 Cashmere was used in Blēo's MINERALS finish.
The exhibition was conceived and curated by Kasia Sznajder, with exhibition and lighting design by Joanna Filipowska and Studio 0405.
