A strong and quiet presence in British design for over five decades, Margaret Howell, CBE (Commander of the Order of the British Empire), has forged her very own brand of clothing characterised by simplicity, subtle details, and fine fabrics. She continues to work with many of the British heritage manufacturers and suppliers that she worked with since the very beginning of her career.

Margaret Howell is a designer who finds great meaning in rugged landscapes and wild nature, and the surroundings have always influenced her work. The ever-changing light and subtlety of colour over rural parts of the British coastline never fails to inspire her.
