Josef Albers Color Interactions
For this collaboration with Blēo, the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation invited Ambra Medda of design consultancy AMO to curate a colour palette inspired by Josef Albers’ seminal work, Interaction of Color. The first collection draws directly from six original plates featured in the book. Following an extensive process of research, testing, and refinement, over 200 hues were distilled into a considered selection of 29 colours — each chosen for its expressive energy and tonal precision. The palette captures the spirit of Albers’ visual experiments: a study in nuance, contrast, and perceptual play. It is an open invitation to experience colour intuitively and personally, to engage with its effects, and to use it with confidence — liberated from rules, and led by the senses.
