Founded on the Danish Island of Bornholm, Kadeau is a celebration of the traditions and beauty of the island, told through the story of food. Their first restaurant, Kadeau Bornholm, opened in 2007 on the sandy beach of Øster Sømarken on the southernmost tip of the island. In 2011, they expanded and opened Kadeau Copenhagen in the historic Christianshavn quarter of the city.

Kadeau Bornholm was awarded a Michelin Star in 2016, the first – and to this day only – restaurant on the island with the esteemed accolade. Kadeau Copenhagen was awarded 2 Michelin Stars in 2018 and has retained them since. Both restaurants were also awarded a Michelin Green Star in 2023.

Kadeau was founded by childhood friends Nicolai Nørregaard, Rasmus Kofoed and Magnus Klein Kofoed – all three of them Bornholm natives. In 2022, long-term friend and head chef Kyumin Hahn became part of the senior management of the restaurant as partner.

This 9-colour palette by Studio Andrew Trotter draws from a deeply personal landscape — spanning the quiet tones of the Yorkshire Dales and Scotland, to the warm, sun-washed textures of Italy and Morocco. The colours are muted and atmospheric, often carrying a sense of melancholy and romance. They bring with them an understated calm — an invitation to slow down and inhabit space with softness and intention. Designed to evoke memory and emotion, the palette introduces a gentle, grounding presence to any interior.
