A Patrician Villa North of Copenhagen

Nestled along the tranquil shores of Gentofte Lake, the home of Ulrikke Toft Simonsen and her husband, musician Brian Siva — known artistically as Lord Siva — embodies a harmonious blend of thoughtful design, curated colours, and a lived-in, playful atmosphere.

Ulrikke, a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Architecture and mother of two, has crafted a space that reflects both her architectural sensibilities and her family's dynamic lifestyle. The couple's residence is adorned with a varity of bright, pale green tones interwoven with more neutral hues, creating a calm and cohesive ambiance for an everyday life with children and colourful objects. These shades, all developed by Danish design studio Force Majeure for their Les Voyageurs palette, offer a subtle interplay of colour and light, enhancing the home's tranquil aesthetic.

The couple’s home is more than just a dwelling; it's a canvas of personal narratives and design sensibilities. From cherished items collected during their travels to the thoughtful selection of materials and objects, every element tells a story. The space harmoniously integrates soft, nature-inspired hues with the rhythms of family life, resulting in an environment where every detail is intentional.

Ulrikke and Brian's residence stands as a testament to their shared values of simplicity, functionality, and authenticity — a home that doesn't just house a family but also encapsulates a philosophy: that beauty lies in the honest interplay of materials, light, and the lives lived within.

Colours used are a mix of Force Majeure's Des Alpes, Belle Epoque, Highline, and Surf Lodge.
